HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY JIM!

 

I will like to wish my nephew and Godson a happy 19th birthday!  It's hard for me to believe that you will be heading off for college this month!  I'm proud of you Jim and the young man that you have become!

Our Lord has his hand upon you.  It's a delight to see how much you love our Lord and the Church.  He will guide you.  This Scripture comes to mind when I think of you from 1Timothy 4:7-12:

"Avoid profane and silly myths. Train yourself for devotion for, while physical training is of limited value, devotion is valuable in every respect, since it holds a promise of life both for the present and for the future. This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance. For this we toil and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the savior of all, especially of those who believe. Command and teach these things. Let no one have contempt for your youth, but set an example for those who believe, in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity."

May you continue to grow in the deep knowledge of our Lord's personal love for you and be a witness in a very dark world!  You have the light of Christ within you.  May you be a light for those who so need to know Jesus!
