COUNTING DOWN

Wow I only have 3 more classes to teach! I ordered a set of DVD's called the Pure Life you can see the explanation below. I will end the year with showing some of these. We watched, "Media Lies" last night. The programs are very well done and engaging. We had a wonderful discussion afterwords. The hands were flying during the discussion which is always rewarding. I want the girls to Know Jesus and Church teaching but they also need to know how to live it out in this culture that is saturated with SEX. It so saddens me to see how our culture robs them of their innocence at such a very young age. Next week I think I'll show the one on virginity.......but all of them are good! I wish I would have gotten the series earlier. I won't be teaching next year. Instead I'm going to have a small group of girls and it's kind of like being a mentor and then I will follow them into the ninth grade for confirmation. This way I can follow my niece, Katie. I'm her Godmother and I'm so glad I have this opportunity. On May 16th we are going to have a sleep over........why I call it a sleep over I don't know because few of the girls sleep. I really was not up for it but I did if for my niece. She remembers Daughter's of the Little Flower and the sleep overs and she's been looking forward to if for a long time. Katie is such a nice girl. She takes her faith seriously and I'm very proud of her. Actually I was very proud of my class last night several of them are in track and had a meet and ended up coming to class, some were late but better late than never. Of course last week I told them what their prioritise should be and that I found it very upsetting that the school still chooses to do activities and sports events on Wednesday nights. This night use to be protected...........but sports has become such a God. It saddens me that parents choose sports over God. Our soul is eternal and sports is passing!
