A MINI VACATION

Charlie and I left on Sunday to go to Manistee and drive around the coast. We stayed the first night at the Eagle Casino because Charlie found a great price on the Internet. One night for only $89 which included $15 each for the Casio and a $10 coupon for each of us for breakfast. They had a swimming pool we enjoyed and hot tub. We are not gamblers (thank God) so the little money we had lasted a long time when you only use 1 and 5 or 25 cent slot machines. We then drove two a couple on winery's and went through the state forest that has the Sleeping bear dunes. Last night we stayed in Mt.Pleasant at the Casino because we got another deal but not as good as the previous night. We each got $20 to spend in the Casino. I was feeling lucky when on the penny machine I won $8. I left the Casino with a $10.50 profit. I'm so glad I don't gamble..........believe me we were ready to get out of there. We went to Vegas about 3 years ago just to see the sights and again we got a great deal! I've enjoyed my days off though we did miss the animals especially the animals! But my niece Rachel was good enough to stop in twice a day and she even walked Abby!

Glad that you are home, safe and sound. Did you mean to say that you especially missed Abbey? I stopped to visit her today, she was glad to see me and I thought that she wanted to play ball. She got the ball but wouldn't let go of it for me to throw it. Silly dog.

That is her game.......yes she wants to play ball but doesn't know enough to give you the ball.......we usally throw a diffirent one or pry it out of her slimey mouth......Yes I missed Abbey......I think we spell it Abby????? Where was John?

Aren't mini-vacay's nice. We went to Mackinac last month (island) for a few days with my mom and dad. I still miss it. It was just so beautiful and peaceful and a nice getaway. I would like to do it again next year. Glad you had a good time. Jody made reservations to fly me to Dallas (he is there right now) and spend a day shopping and going to dinner then go home Sunday (he called my parents to ask if they would watch the kids....he is so sweet). But I got punked by a hurricane. So now I am stuck here.

Oh bummer! That would have been so much fun!.......That was very nice of him! Did you actually stay on the island? Your mom and I went about 10 years ago and stayed on the island and Charlie and I did as well.........I love staying on the island.
