EDUCATED VERSES HUMILITY
Ok I have not been a very good blogger this week have I! But I have been responding to a few other blogs on Sarah Palin. Politics sure is a "hot topic". I had one acquaintance send me a negative article about Sarah and knowing she was a Democrat I just responded that we can't discuss this issue we just need to agree to disagree. Well I was then accused of being shallow,
closed minded and a few other things. She even went on to recommend a book by one of the Kennedy women on how the right has become anti Christian and she added of course this Kennedy is Pro choice as Jesus would want it to be. I met another Catholic last week who said the same thing to me. This was an "educated women". But not educated in her Catholic faith. When I went on to say the church says it's murder she said no it doesn't. I suggested that she read her Catechism and ended there. But I was so upset and actually depressed. I don't know how good people can think it's OK to abort an innocent life and how Catholics can actually deny what the church teaches on such a moral level. Is this so they can continue to fool themselves like Nancy Pelosi (She's actually been told but I guess she needs to continue to mislead her followers.)
I noticed I said the word "educated women". But that can be a bad thing because our liberal Universities are pretty morally bankrupt when it comes to social values. My sister in law works at MSU in the Political Science department and they are having a fit about Sara Palin. How do our young survive those Universities? My friend Jane and I discussed this the other night. She currently has a daughter in a very liberal university. I can actually remember way back in the 70's one of my required reading books for a marriage class was about a couple who had an "open
marriage.".............WOW and our government supports these places.......which also teaches allot of
anti-American propaganda............But we are in a Spiritual Battle of a life time! This country was founded on God! Along with education we need humility! We need to remember who created us! We were meant to know God, love God, serve God and to be with him in the next life. Our minds needs to be submitted to our Lord and his teachings. This has always been one of my favorite bible passages from Philippians Chapter 2.
If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy,
2
complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing.
3
Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves,
4
each looking out not for his own interests, but (also) everyone for those of others.
5
Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus, 2
6
Who, 3 though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. 4
7
Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; 5 and found human in appearance,
8
he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. 6
9
Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name 7 that is above every name,
10
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, 8 of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, 9 to the glory of God the Father.
