END OF NOVENA BUT NOT GOD'S MERCY

What a beautiful day yesterday was! Charlie and I got some yard work done and I did some of my spring cleaning.............Murphy soap! Oh how that wonderful smell reminds me of my mother. When I was caring for her I did her spring cleaning.........she insisted on all the walls being washed and that is what she always used. When I mow the lawn I always think of my Grandpa Burns knowing he had mowed this very yard. I usually say the Rosary when I'm mowing and reflect allot.

Today is Divine Mercy Sunday. I don't think most of us really comprehend how merciful our Lord is. When we look at life we see it through our eyes and our life
experiences. How do we even begin to imagine a God who sent his very own Son to die for our
Sins? I am not a parent but I can not imagine the pain in that. But that's how much he Loved us..............it's so easy to say; "God loves us". But how often do we really reflect on that love?........I think to the degree that we do we will truly be a changed person. The Saints reflected on the sufferings of Christ and meditated by looking at our Lord on the Cross.

I personally have been convicted of being less judgemental. Each individual is a mystery who is created, loved and cherished by God. When I see how so many young girls dress I try to remember that they are only a product of our sexualised culture. My real question is why would a parent allow them to dress in such a provocative way?..........Am I being judgemental again? We can either be by products of our culture or choose to be a by product of our Catholic or Christian faith. The world needs our witness and our love and mercy! But real love and mercy is speaking truth to others and not being afraid to tell them of our Lord. We are all sinners! But it's in knowing that we are sinners that we begin our journey at becoming a saint. I will leave you with some inspiration about God's Mercy from the Devotion:

The message of mercy is that God loves us — all of us —no matter how great our sins. He wants us to recognize thatHis mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call uponHim with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us toothers. Thus, all will come to share His joy. It is a messagewe can call to mind simply by remembering ABC.
A — Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approachHim in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins andasking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and uponthe whole world.
B — Be merciful. God wants us to receive His mercyand let it flow through us to others. He wants us toextend love and forgiveness to others just as He doesto us.
C — Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to knowthat the graces of His mercy are dependent upon ourtrust. The more we trust in Jesus, the more we willreceive.
