JAVA JOE'S CAFE

On the first night of our mini little trip, Charlie was watching a TV talk show (I refuse to admit who he was watching because the guy is a big liberal and obnoxious!) anyway on the show he had another liberal, Michal Moore. Mr. Moore had a hat on that Charlie could just make out and it said : Java Joe's Cafe, St.Ignace MI. Well since we were right in town we decided to eat

breakfast there! We were so pleasantly surprised! It's such a charming little place jammed with teapots of any kind you could imagine that you could purchase. They had pictures every where of people who have ordered their HUGE sundaes and I mean huge! The food is excellent with any kind of pancake or breakfast food you would want including crepes! On our next visit we will try if for lunch or dinner. They also just opened a Mexican Restaurant as you can see above and we were very please with the food there as well. They warm their chips and not only

brought us salsa but a very good bean dip.

The owner Joe happens to be a big liberal as well. He and I joked back and forth and he couldn't believe I wasn't afraid to admit I'm a Republican. I informed him that the problem with the Republicans is that they are not conservative enough! We told him about seeing Mr. Moore wearing his hat and it turns out he's very good friends with Mr. Moore and he and some of some of his producers had just been in a couple weeks earlier. They actually went to one of his movie premiers (you couldn't pay enough to sit through one of his movies!) Mr. Moore also comes to Java Joe's every year on his birthday. It really is a neat little place and it helped to make our trip very special. Maybe tomorrow I'll show the video I took of the place.
