CLINTON COUNTY FIT FESTIVAL 2010

On Friday night Clinton county had it's first Fit Festival up at the 4-H Fair grounds. Each child got a little back pack as they walked in and accumalted fun stuff at diffirent booths.  I volunteered at the hola hoop station.  The whole idea was to have gets get active!  Their were Five diffirent areas.  The kids got a stamp on a card they each recieved if they participated at each area.  In the end their names went in for prizes.  The Wii being the biggest prize.

My area had 10 old fashioned simple games. Like jump roping, hop scotch, bean bag races ect.
There was an area in one of the buildings that had information on nutrition and fun stations.  At one they were shown how to make their own chex mix.  At another station they made them a jump rope for their specific height.

They had an area were diffirent presenters would come in such as a Jump rope team, exercise expert and someone teaching dancing.  There was also a rock climbing area and my niece Kelly age 8  and Maria age 7 made it to the top and really enjoyed it.

The kids had a blast!  And it didn't cost the parents a dime!  It was just nice to see families come together and have some old fashioned fun!
