ANNETE'S PARTY FOR JUDY!

First thing yesterday morning I got a text from Annette asking if Linda and I could come could over to Joyce's (Annette's sister) to celebrate Judy's birthday. Well I checked with my husband and called Linda and then text a big YES back to  her.

Once again Annette is always thinking of others!  We had a nice dinner with two of Annette's brothers and a few of their family members.  Her 96 year old Uncle was there as well.  Since Gerald Ford died he is now the oldest living Eagle Scout in Michigan.  He is as sharp as a tack and loves to tell stories of his grand patent's and their encounters with the Indians. He also had a  relative that will killed in the Civil war at Gettysburg.

I gave Judy the book: "Everything is Grace". My new favorite book about St.Therese of Lisieux.  This is a wonderful book that goes through the " Story of a Soul" her autobiography but expands on her theology. It really is a life changing book!  Annette reminds me of St.Therese because of her profound love for Jesus and her willingness to suffer for souls

We then played Sequence and Judy and Annette were partners and I think they won most of the games!  Annette said what do you expect from the birthday girl and the dying girl.  All with a smile on  her face.  She said she knows the Lord could still heal her if he chose so she sees herself in a win win situation.  To go and be with the Lord....what a wonderful thought!  What an exciting thought!  To transition from this life with all it's pain and suffering and burdens of daily life to be with Jesus.  I personally think Annette has worked out her Purgatory here!

I always leave Annette, Judy and her family very blessed. Linda feels the same way.  I know the pain is increasing but she continues to accept it all and even with a sense of humor at times!  Annette thank you for being such a beautiful witness.  Only in eternity will we all see the power of your redemptive suffering and the lives that were touched and converted by your YES!  Thank you.

P.S  I forgot to mention the picture of the envelopes above is the Thank yous that Annette is personally singing for all those who came to her birthday party in March and for all those who gave her Birthday money to help with her treatments at the born clinic.  She is so humbled and appreciative of all her generous friends and gifts from those whom she doesn't even know.
