THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE

Most Holy Trinity showed the documentary: The Human Experience this past Friday and Saturday night.  I took my nephew, Joe to see it.  We both liked it!  He said it made him realize just how good he has it.  Linda and Chuck and their kids went both nights and they all liked it as well.

The producer follows two of his fellow friends in the search for meaning in life.  These men come from broken homes and lived at the St.Francis House in New York which literally saved their lives Spiritually and practically!  Their experiences teaches them and us the importance of the family unit and how devastating it is on children when they don't have two emotionally healthy parents.

It is so touching to see these young men be so vulnerable and to open up their hearts to the less fortunate. The homeless, disfigured children in an orphanage and lepers.  They show us the importance of the dignity of each individual person no matter their circumstances.

The Producer and one of the young men from the film were with us to answer questions.  Both were so humble!  It was cute to see the young girls line up to talk to them.  It is so attractive to see men be living examples of our Lord Jesus!  Here is a review written by Simon Fung:

The story of a band of brothers who travel the world in search of the answers to the burning questions: Who am I? Who is Man? Why do we search for meaning? Their journey brings them into the middle of the lives of the homeless on the streets of New York City, the orphans and disabled children of Peru, and the abandoned lepers in the forests of Ghana, Africa. What the young men discover changes them forever. Through one on one interviews and real life encounters, the brothers are awakened to the beauty of the human person and the resilience of the human spirit.

I highly recommend getting this film: Here.  They also produce the short movie The Fisher's of Men.

James C. LaPrath I celebrate her presence in the life of her great children, and know she, and your Dad, still look upon you in love and blessing in the heavenly court. May this day be more sweet in the knowledge of that tremendous love, and less bitter in the abscence of her physical presence. I miss my Mom too, she was a great Mom.
Friday at 7:51pm · LikeUnlike.Lisa Burns Wieber Thanks for sharing Jim...........you are so right..........and it is no longer bitter.....I mostly share because of her faithfulness and what she taught me and conintues to teach me..........She is now the blessed one........to be in the throne room of our Lord ! I only wish her back so that her 14 nieces and nephews could enjoy her in this life..........:)
Yesterday at 10:33am · LikeUnlike.James C. LaPrath Amen to that! We are blessed by their faithfulness and love. I wish my Mom could see my son now, she would be proud to give him a big hug and tell him how proud she is of him. But, from the throne room of heaven she is doing that in utter joy and freedom. What blessing that is!

Jane Shea Noble A beautiful tribute, Lisa. Your mom was such an inspiration. I only met her once, but loved her. And I remember that her dying on Good Friday was only due to your family insisting on not "hurrying her death" earlier like was suggested. God bless and Happy Easter!
21 hours ago · LikeUnlike.Lisa Burns Wieber You are correct! Some hospices don't hydrate of feed their patients. My mom would have died at least 6 months earlier or longer had we not put a feeding tube in. We just wanted the basics for her which is food and hydration............it was such an honor our Lord taking her home on Good Friday! John Paull II had a feeding tube as well.
