GREAT AUNT JULIA BURNS ESCH REST IN PEACE
We buried our last Great Aunt Julia Burns on Friday. She was my grandpa Burns' youngest sister.
She just missed her 90th Birthday and was living alone up until days before her death. She was a very dependent women who gave much to her church and community. It was a very nice size funeral. My Uncle Dick Burns flew in from California and he is now the Patriarch of the Burns clan being the oldest cousin remaining.
It was so nice seeing some of my dad's first cousin. My Uncle Louis Burns had 11 children and they all went to Aquinas college where my niece Catherine goes. We were invited to a Burns weekend Reunion that they put on every summer up in the Stanton area. I'm so excited it will be fun. I love family history and I can't wait to here stories about my grandpa and his siblings. God is good!
